Project Meeting Amsterdam

On 27th march 2024, we gathered at AMOLF in Amsterdam for the annual in-person meeting of our EIC Pathfinder project. We started with a nice get-together the evening before. In the actual meeting, each partner shared their updates and we had time to visit the impressive labs at AMOLF and in the Noël Research Group at University of Amsterdam.

The scientific discussions were Extreme fruitful. For example, we decided to draft our first paper and file for the first patent application—all within one year of collaboration. We find the synergy and creativity in our team are remarkable.

We give our best to live compatibility of research and family, so some of the principal investigators brought their children and AMOLF provided a specialty kids program for them. They could see the labs, but also did experiments from the open day event such as building an own microscope and do tomography experiments with marshmallows and toothpicks.

Our conclusion after roughly one year: The cooperation and advancement in the project work out well – there is room for fun, creativity, and excellence!
